Bennett College Plans Memorial Service in Honor of Professor Cynthia Clemons

Greensboro, NC - Bennett College has planned a memorial service for Dr. Cynthia V. Clemons, on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at 5:00 p.m. at the Annie Merner Pfeiffer Chapel. The campus community, family and friends are invited to attend.

Dr. Clemons, who served as director of the Center for Entrepreneurship Studies, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. She was a faculty member in the Department of Business and Entrepreneurship and the former Dean of the Division of Social Sciences and Education.

“We, the Bennett College family, recognize the outstanding contributions of Dr. Clemons to our campus and the community,” said Bennett College President Rosalind Fuse-Hall. “She was committed to helping small businesses flourish and was a very effective director for our entrepreneurship program. We miss her and we will honor her memory and her good works during this service.”

Dr. Clemons was a founding member of the Greensboro Community Development Fund (formerly the Greensboro Venture Capital Fund), and served on the City of Greensboro’s Advisory Committee for Minority and Women Businesses, and as a board member and former Board Chair of Guilford Child Development.
